2024 China (Xiamen) International Cross-border E-commerce Exhibition
The 2024 China Cross-Border E-commerce Expo, initiated by the Xiamen Municipal Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and approved by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), is the only national-level cross-border e-commerce exhibition jointly organized by the China Chamber of International Commerce and the local trade promotion system (Xiamen Chamber of International Commerce). Adhering to the theme of "Cross-Border Connectivity, Global Cargo Connectivity," the exhibition features themed exhibition areas such as Cross-Border Product Selection, Cross-Border Platforms and Integrated Service Providers, and Cross-Border Imports (International Exhibition Area). The exhibition spans over 50,000 square meters, boasting over 1,200 booths and supporting over 30 industry exchange events. Nearly 50 major cross-border e-commerce platforms, including Amazon Global Selling, Alibaba International Station, and AliExpress, attended the China Cross-Border E-commerce Expo, which attracted 68,709 visitors and generated 4.01 billion yuan in potential orders.
This exhibition leverages the power of cross-border e-commerce to empower industrial transformation and upgrading, highlighting the strengths of advantageous industrial clusters and promoting in-depth cross-industry integration. The cross-border product selection area showcases high-quality and renowned goods from 31 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions across China. From electronics and electrical appliances from Guangdong to cashmere products from Inner Mongolia, from small commodities from Yiwu to Yongchun incense, clothing from Shishi, shoes and apparel from Jinjiang, and bathroom hardware from Xiamen, as well as sporting goods, power tools, rattan and iron crafts, furniture, and outdoor gear, this exhibition connects premium cross-border goods from around the world and across the country.The cross-border e-commerce platform effect of the China Cross-border Exhibition has been highly valued by the industry. Amazon Global Store, a long-term and in-depth partner of the China Cross-border Exhibition, launched the "Amazon Global Store Industry Belt Accelerator" project at the exhibition.CCTV News Channel carried out a special report titled "China's economy 'towards new forces' builds new chains and 'Made in China' attracts global platforms."The first Google Cross-Border E-Commerce Acceleration Center officially opened in Xiamen at this year's China Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo, aiming to address the challenges faced by independent e-commerce sellers, including starting up, recruiting talent, and operating overseas. The 2024 Alibaba International Station "Super Supplier" e-commerce talent competition and the AliExpress Cross-Border E-Commerce Talent Competition Season 2 also chose to launch at the China Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo. The China Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo has become one of the top destinations for cross-border e-commerce platforms to launch their cross-border businesses.
Dozens of foreign embassies and consulates and commercial organizations in China, including those from Japan, South Korea, Thailand, France, Uganda, Mexico, Austria, and Zambia, showcased local specialty products in the imported goods display area of the China Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo. General Technology Group, a Fortune Global 500 company and a key state-owned enterprise, and the Xiamen BRICS Office jointly hosted the "BRICS + Belt and Road" cross-border e-commerce cooperation and exchange conference. Simultaneously, the first Xiamen International Geographical Indication Products Fair was held concurrently with the China Cross-Border E-Commerce Expo. This first-ever joint presence of cross-border e-commerce and geographical indication products will help these products internationalize and expand globally. It represents a new exploration of cross-border e-commerce empowering new industrial development and another innovative initiative by Xiamen City to leverage new cross-border momentum to help businesses transition to new sectors and expand cross-border cooperation.
